In January, Allison Nordling, Children’s Ministry Director, attended the Children’s Pastor Conference in Florida. There were numerous ideas and topics that she was interested in learning more about but there was one topic in particular kept coming to her mind. Over and over God whispered to me about generational discipleship. Allison recently read a book, “The DNA of D6” which explores the building blocks of generational discipleship. The term, “D6”, refers to Deuteronomy 6:5-7 which says, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.”
You are invited to learn more about “The DNA of D6” and to participate in exploring Generational Discipleship at Asbury on Tuesday, March 28th from 6-7pm in Room 122. Dinner will be provided. Please RSVP by Sunday, March 26th so I know how much food to prepare. For more information, contact Allison Nordling at (317)410-0201 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
