First Impressions
Greeter
The greeters are the first person people meet as they walk to the door. They have an opportunity to reflect the care and love of Asbury to the members and visitors in our congregation. To find out how you can get involved as a greeter for both of our worship services, please contact the Greeter Coordinator found in the Leadership Directory.
Usher
The ushers are available to help the congregation and visitors alike to be fully immersed in their worship experience on Sunday morning. This may include handing out bulletins, assisting with seating, answering questions, providing directions to areas of the church, collecting the offering, and occasionally delivering communion. If you are interested in serving as an usher, please contact the Usher Coordinator found in the Leadership Directory.

Acolyte
Normally the acolyte serves by lighting and extinguishing the candles at the Traditional Worship Service. At the discretion of the pastor, the acolyte may also assist in other portions of the worship service. It is the custom at Asbury for the acolytes to be young persons, giving them an early opportunity to be participants in the service. Adults, however, also may serve as acolytes if the need arises. To find out how you can get your child involved in the worship service as an acolyte, please contact the Acolyte Coordinator found in the Leadership Directory.

The Celebration Choir leads our Traditional Worship Service in worship through song. The music sung by the choir stretches from traditional to modern, gospel to classical. The choir has an open door policy for all who want to join. Connect with our choir by joining us for any Thursday evening rehearsal, 7:30-8:30 pm in the choir room (Room 119). If you have questions, please contact the Celebration Choir Director found in the Leadership Directory.
Band
Our Praise Band is the engine that drives our Contemporary Worship experience. We are always open to new musicians being a part of our team. New members will be expected to rehearse with our band for multiple weeks for you to learn about us and for us to learn about you. If you play an instrument and want a chance to use your gifts, contact our Worship Leader at worship@asburycolumbus.org.
Song Leader and Vocalists
The Praise Singers are our vocalists that help lead the congregation. Like our band, new members will be expected to rehearse for multiple weeks for you to learn about us and for us to learn about you. If you are interested in joining this team, contact our Worship Leader at worship@asburycolumbus.org.
Handbells
Handbell Choirs are a tradition at Asbury United Methodist Church. The handbell choirs are intentional to meet the abilities of children and adults.
