Read Acts 8 today.

Saul is briefly introduced in this chapter. We also read a number of stories from the early church. One of those stories is of Phillip’s encounter with the Ethiopian eunuch.
What may have seemed like a chance encounter was actually an opportunity for two people to journey together for a time. It was an opportunity for one person to help another grow in understanding and in faith. We have all had these kind of opportunities, these seasons in our lives when someone else has helped us grow.
We also have opportunities when we have the privilege of helping someone else take their next step. Who are the people God has brought into your life recently? Is this something you write off as a chance meeting, or do you consider it to be an opportunity for either of you to grow in faith?
Acts 8:27-31 NLT
So he started out, and he met the treasurer of Ethiopia, a eunuch of great authority under the Kandake, the queen of Ethiopia. The eunuch had gone to Jerusalem to worship, [28] and he was now returning. Seated in his carriage, he was reading aloud from the book of the prophet Isaiah.
[29] The Holy Spirit said to Philip, “Go over and walk along beside the carriage.”
[30] Philip ran over and heard the man reading from the prophet Isaiah. Philip asked, “Do you understand what you are reading?” [31] The man replied, “How can I, unless someone instructs me?” And he urged Philip to come up into the carriage and sit with him.
