Read John 17 today.

This chapter has Jesus’ prayer for His disciples and everyone who would ever become a follower of Him. In the midst of this prayer, Jesus prayed for unity among His disciples. He also prayed for all those who would come to believe through the message of His disciples.
There is an important point in verse 20: people come to believe in Jesus through the message of Jesus’ disciples. If we are followers of Jesus Christ, we are supposed to have a message. And it is a message that points other people to Christ. Merely living our lives, being ‘basically a good person,’ is not a message that points people to Christ. It may give us credibility to share the message, but it is not the message.
If you were to ask objective observers to describe the message you consistently send, would pointing to Christ be included in what they have observed?
John 17:20-21 NLT
“I am praying not only for these disciples but also for all who will ever believe in me through their message. [21] I pray that they will all be one, just as you and I are one-as you are in me, Father, and I am in you. And may they be in us so that the world will believe you sent me.
