Read John 4 today.

John 4:39-42 NLT[39] Many Samaritans from the village believed in Jesus because the woman had said, “He told me everything I ever did!” [40] When they came out to see him, they begged him to stay in their village. So he stayed for two days, [41] long enough for many more to hear his message and believe. [42] Then they said to the woman, “Now we believe, not just because of what you told us, but because we have heard him ourselves. Now we know that he is indeed the Savior of the world.”
This chapter includes the story of the woman who met Jesus at a well in Samaria. There were many reasons why Jesus should have avoided her, if He followed conventional practices of the Jews. Yet Jesus did not avoid her. Instead, He offered her living water, rather than the water drawn from a well. He offered her everlasting life, rather than life that ends with what we can see with our eyes.
Her response was to tell the people around her. She told them with words from her own mouth. She was not content to let people guess about her faith based on her lifestyle. She was unafraid of the response if people found out she was a follower of Jesus. Because of her boldness, others came to know Jesus.
Do you make any statements about what you believe? Would a statement of your faith point anyone to Jesus?
I am a follower of Jesus.
