Read Mark 1 today.

Mark’s Gospel does not begin with a narrative of the birth of Jesus. Instead, Mark just jumps into the story of Jesus’ ministry. Late in this chapter, as Jesus was traveling through Galilee, He was approached by a man with leprosy, who said, “If you are willing, you can heal me and make me clean.” Jesus’ response is revealing. He said, “I am willing. Be healed!”
Both Jesus’ words and actions revealed His nature. Jesus is willing to touch the sick and broken places of our lives to bring healing. Sometimes, He is more ready to do so, than we are. Do you have places of brokenness that need the touch of Jesus?
Mark 1:38-42 NLT
But Jesus replied, “We must go on to other towns as well, and I will preach to them, too. That is why I came.” [39] So he traveled throughout the region of Galilee, preaching in the synagogues and casting out demons.
[40] A man with leprosy came and knelt in front of Jesus, begging to be healed. “If you are willing, you can heal me and make me clean,” he said. [41] Moved with compassion, Jesus reached out and touched him. “I am willing,” he said. “Be healed!” [42] Instantly the leprosy disappeared, and the man was healed.
