Read Mark 13 today.

Mark 13:1-4 NIV
[1] As Jesus was leaving the temple, one of his disciples said to him, “Look, Teacher! What massive stones! What magnificent buildings!” [2] “Do you see all these great buildings?” replied Jesus. “Not one stone here will be left on another; every one will be thrown down.” [3] As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter, James, John and Andrew asked him privately, [4] “Tell us, when will these things happen? And what will be the sign that they are all about to be fulfilled?”
I have had the privilege of standing on the Mount of Olives at sunrise, at midday, and at sunset. Those experiences affect how I read this chapter of Mark. I can imagine sitting with Jesus, looking across the valley toward the temple. I can imagine asking Jesus questions about the things that are weighing on my mind. Some questions may be small and personal, while others may be large and affect the world as a whole.
We need not travel to the Mount of Olives to have a conversation with Jesus. Wherever we are today, we can pause, sit, and converse with Him. Where, and when, will you choose to have that conversation?
