Read Matthew 21 today.

In this chapter, we read about Jesus’ coming into Jerusalem. He was teaching the people and the conflict with the Pharisees was building. He went to the Temple and was driving out the people buying and selling animals for sacrifice and the money changers.
Sometimes we hold onto the idea that Jesus’ only purpose is to love us as we are. We prefer the idea that Jesus would never want us to change. We avoid the thought that Jesus may see things in us that need to be driven out.
What if Jesus has a different idea about what we should be than merely following our personal preferences? What if Jesus wants to reform and reshape us? Are you open being adjusted by Jesus? Where would He begin in you?
Matthew 21:12-13 NLT
Jesus entered the Temple and began to drive out all the people buying and selling animals for sacrifice. He knocked over the tables of the money changers and the chairs of those selling doves. [13] He said to them, “The Scriptures declare, ‘My Temple will be called a house of prayer,’ but you have turned it into a den of thieves!”
