Read Nahum 2 today.

This chapter includes Nahum’s words against Nineveh. As I was reading this, I was wondering, how would I respond if I received a message from God that let me know that God has an issue with me, that God is disappointed with my choices, and is against me?
When confronted with God’s sentence upon me, would I shake my fist at Him and cry out, “You wouldn’t dare!” (My brother tried that approach with my mother once, after she told him if he didn’t stop what he was doing she was going to spank him. He did not try it a second time.) Would I close my eyes and pretend that neither God nor my sinfulness was real? Would I fall on my face before God, confessing my sins and seeking mercy?
What would your response be?
Nahum 2:13 NIV
“I am against you,” declares the Lord Almighty. “I will burn up your chariots in smoke, and the sword will devour your young lions. I will leave you no prey on the earth. The voices of your messengers will no longer be heard.”
