Read Philippians 1 today.

This is Paul’s letter to the church in Philippi.
As I read this morning, I have been thankful for the certainty Paul expressed in verse 6. There are times in our lives when being certain about some things seems difficult. For instance, of what things are you absolutely certain?
Yet, Paul expressed certainty regarding the work God was doing within the people of Philippi. God was already at work within them, and that work would continue until it was completed. I am thankful for this because even though I am aware God has already some many things within my life, I am hopeful for more. I remain convinced there is more work to be done in me. It is good to know God did not merely begin the job, and then take a leave of absence. God is still working within me. I am certain. And thankful. I hope you are also.
Philippians 1:3-6 NLT
Every time I think of you, I give thanks to my God. [4] Whenever I pray, I make my requests for all of you with joy, [5] for you have been my partners in spreading the Good News about Christ from the time you first heard it until now. [6] And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.
