Read Psalm 112 today.

There are two phrases within this psalm that made me smile.
The first is, “who finds great delight.” Isn’t ‘delight’ a great word! It reminds me of the face of a small child experiencing something new and wonderful. Can you imagine a day filled with great delight? Read the Psalm again. Do you find great delight in the commands of the Lord?
The second is, “no fear of bad news.” This is different from the absence of bad news. It is that the possibility or presence of bad news does not result in fear. Trusting God is bigger than any bad news. There is no worry. How does that sound? Delightful.
Psalm 112:1, 7 NIV
[1] Praise the Lord. Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, who finds great delight in his commands.
[7] He will have no fear of bad news; his heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord.
