Read Revelation 21 today.

This chapter includes some descriptions of what we might consider to be the culmination of God’s creation, or how God wraps all things together in the end. I find this to be a challenging idea to grasp because we do not have a reference point with which to connect this vision (nor did the author). From our earliest childhood, we only know of a world that does include death, sorrow, crying, and pain. I suspect the absence of those will result in a greater change than what I am capable of imagining. In light of our current events, try to imagine our world without those four things.
And then, God’s home is now among his people. Imagine the One who created the universe, who created you, who breathed life into you living with you. Christmas is a celebration of the birth of Christ, Emmanuel, God with us. Now, we have a glimpse of what God intends, but there is more to come. And it is more than I can imagine.
Revelation 21:3-4 NLT
I heard a loud shout from the throne, saying, “Look, God’s home is now among his people! He will live with them, and they will be his people. God himself will be with them. [4] He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.”
